At BridgeArgentina, we care about your progress and know that quality teachers are a fundamental part of how quickly you’ll learn Spanish. All of our teachers have been especially trained in our unique methodology. They are selected for their outgoing and dynamic personalities, their patience, creativity, friendliness and most importantly, for their enthusiasm for teaching.

As you can see from the following profiles of some of our Spanish instructors, our qualified teaching staff comes from a variety of backgrounds. What they have in common is a passion for teaching and a genuine interest in sharing their language and culture with you.

Mariana Barry
Mariana was born in the Argentine city of La Plata, but was raised in Buenos Aires. She earned a BA in Philosophy and has a strong interest in the relationship between language and thought process. Mariana is currently working towards a degree in Fine Arts and loves to paint. She lived in Germany for six years where she was able to meet a lot of people from all over the world. When their son was born, Mariana and her husband decided to return to Argentina so that he could grow up in the homeland of his parents and be surrounded by friends and family.

Diego Calvo
Diego comes from a long line of teachers. He loves teaching Spanish and enjoys incorporating fun and interesting activities into his lessons. His sense of humor adds to the relaxed atmosphere of his classes, and he really takes an interest in his students. Diego is married with two lovely children, and in his free time likes to spend time with his family, read, and write. In fact, he is a member of the Sociedad Argentina de Escritores (Argentinean Society of Writers). If you have a particular interest in writing or literature, Diego is your man!

Gabriela Ferrante
Gabriela has been teaching Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and Italian for many years. She is one of BridgeArgentina's most worldly teachers, having lived in many different countries including Italy, Brazil, and France. She loves to travel and is an excellent resource for students who plan to travel while in Argentina. She studies psychology at the University of Buenos Aires and spends most of her free time going to the opera, theater, reading, or playing tennis. Gabriela truly enjoys sharing her knowledge and says that there is nothing more satisfying than seeing her students' progress.

Carlos Francia
Carlos studied English at Joaquín V. González Teacher Training College and has been teaching English and Spanish for several years. He lives downtown and enjoys being able to walk to school every day. Three things he loves are music, sports, and reading. The one thing he hates is extreme traffic noise. He hopes that his students in Buenos Aires have fun while learning as much as possible!

Maria Rosa Gasparini
María Rosa was born in Buenos Aires and graduated in History from the University of Mar del Plata. Later she got her degree in Languages and Works of Art Restoration. For many years, Maria Rosa has taught American Archeology at the Universidad del Salvador. Teaching is much more than a job for her; she really enjoys it because it enriches her as well as her students. She helps her Spanish students to develop their language skills and she gets to know different cultures and points of view. Maria Rosa’s hobby is weaving on a loom using antique techniques first developed by Argentinean indigenous populations.

Marisa Kergaravat
Marisa was born in Buenos Aires. Her attraction to traveling, learning about new places, and knowing about the past led her to pursue a degree in Archaeology from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, in the college of Arts & Sciences. Currently she co-teaches at the College of Arts & Sciences, and is working on her doctorate thesis. She chose to study archaeology because she finds it absolutely incredible to discover things that have been buried for thousands of years. In her free time, Marisa likes going to the movies, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time with her 4-year-old nephew.

Silvia Lodeiro
Silvia Lodeiro is a Porteña who loves her city and its highly emotive music—the tango. She studied Art History and is a translator as well as a teacher. She enjoys teaching Spanish to people from all over the world. She is very happy because at BridgeArgentina she has the opportunity to teach her mother tongue in her country. She finds it very exciting to meet people who are interested in her language and culture because she and her students both learn from each other.

María Cecilia Mariño
Cecilia was born in Buenos Aires but moved outside of the city shortly afterwards. She is a history teacher and is studying to be a librarian in the science fields. She finds it very exciting to meet people who are interested in her language and culture. Cecilia joined a street performing theater in 2004 named “Boedo Antiguo” and she loves it! In the afternoons, she enjoys reading stories and playing with kindergarten kids in puppet shows. She also loves dancing flamenco.

Silvia Martinez
Silvia has had a wide variety of work experiences, including two years working for large companies in Houston, Texas. But what she enjoys most is working as a Spanish teacher with foreign students. Upon returning to Argentina, Silvia joined the BridgeArgentina staff where she is very happy to be sharing her experiences and communicating with people from all over the world. She is also the very proud grandmother of five grandchildren.

Graciela Moizeszowicz
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Graciela takes pride in teaching not only the Spanish language but also Argentine tradition and culture. She studied Art History and has a degree in Social Psychology. Graciela is a great French pastry cook, but her main hobby is oil painting. Graciela enjoys her classes as well as leading students around Buenos Aires in our "Live and Learn" program, describing traditional sites and their history. Her students find her classes challenging and appreciate her clear explanations of the Spanish language.

Gloria Peix
Gloria lives in the suburbs of Buenos Aires. She has been teaching English and Spanish for many years. She loves both teaching languages and learning about different cultures. In her free time, she goes to the gym or hangs out with her daughter and two sons.

Rosario del Carmen Perez
Rosario was born in San Rafael, Mendoza, Argentina. She obtained her degree in Art History from the Universidad of Buenos Aires. Rosiario teaches Spanish for BridgeArgentina and history at U.M.S.A. What she likes most about working for BridgeArgentina is getting to know people from different countries and learning about different cultures. Rosario has a daughter with whom she shares her passion for music, history and art. In her free time, Rosario likes to swim or do crafts.

Pablo Pérez
Pablo was born in Buenos Aires, but he is of Guaraní and Spanish ancestry. He is currently conducting research as a history professor at the University of Buenos Aires. He is also a tango instructor in a private dance school—and he loves it! Pablo is always ready to help you with your Spanish.

Darío Scherich
Dario was born in the province of Misiones, Argentina, in a small town surrounded by wonderful woods, rivers, waterfalls, and Guarani legends. He became a teacher in a school for indigenous children while studying for his BA in Literature at the Universidad Nacional of Misiones. He worked for the same university for many years, within various literacy government and UNICEF projects. Dario’s biggest pleasures are to be able to read everything that surrounds him, write fiction short stories, share all of his experiences with those he knows, and build bridges that can help us communicate and enrich us.

Andrea Vespa
Andrea is a Porteña, having lived in Buenos Aires her entire life. She loves traveling and enjoys all the cultural and traditional customs. Andrea majored in Social Communication, and speaks English, German, and Portuguese. She loves teaching Spanish and enjoys exploring the relationships between different languages. Andrea is also a wonderful mother to her 6-year-old daughter, Lara, the most important thing in her life!
