Bridwell Library

Online Exhibit

Bridwell Library loaned manuscripts, printed books, and artifacts for the Meadows Museum exhibition, Fossils to Film: The Best of SMU’s Collections. They are available for viewing in this online exhibition, and will remain on extended exhibit at the Museum through August 9, 2021.

Engaged with Books: Photographs Over Time

Fondren Library West, Hillcrest Exhibit Hall 

An exhibit of some 200 photographs of people in the act of reading, holding or otherwise engaged with books or printed matter. Open to the public from September 9 to November 12, 2021.

 

Hamon Arts Library

Hamon Arts Library, Second Floor

An exhibition highlighting the art career of Dan Wingren with archival documents and personal memories from colleagues and former students. Wingren was an artist and teacher active in Texas. Primarily known as a painter, he was both a popular and admired professor of art at SMU, where he taught several subjects including 19th- and 20th-century art history, contemporary art, design, drawing and painting.
